The Salt Lake Shakespeare Society

The Salt Lake Shakespeare Society, a volunteer based non-profit organization, is dedicated to the enjoyment and appreciation of Shakespeare and his times.

The Salt Lake Shakespeare Society envisions a future in which more people are aware of, read, and value Shakespeare and the English Humanist era.
The Salt Lake Shakespeare Society’s mission is to support its members and, through them, the public at large, in expanding the understanding of and joy in classic liberal humanism and the insights into the human condition embodied by Shakespeare.

The Society achieves its mission in three ways:
The full membership meets monthly in lecture and discussion format.
Small groups of members meet to study a wide range of individual subjects which comprise the field of classical humanism.
It presents unique events open to the public throughout the year.

The Society’s success is measured by an ever-increasing number of active internal civic members who deliver its vision to its community.
